Here is an explanation of the buttons you’ll find in Bandwagon. We’ll also walk through a few things you might want to do with the app.
Buttons:
Window shop- this button presents a photo gallery of the hot, new, and trending items that are in stores now. Window shop from the palm of your hand!
Offers- Participating Bandwagon merchants offer our users discounts. We hope you’ll support them and shop local!
Check In- A Check In is a post, or comment, that has a specific location attached to it.
Friends- pretty obvious, friends are those you have elected to follow. All their posts go to your wall.
Wall- Just like Facebook and Twitter, your wall is where all your posts go, and where you see your friend’s posts.
Inspire- this is the button you use to share what you love! Does it inspire you? Share it! If you see something you love in a store, post it to Bandwagon for your friends to see. Share the love

Messages- you have the ability to private message your friends, however, there are no popups or alerts to tell you that you have messages in your inbox.
Search- Allows you to search the Bandwagon universe for other posts/shouts/checkins that contain certain phrases called #tags (like Twitter). Whenever a #keyword is inputed, that keyword is tied to every other post containing the same #keyword, and is searchable.
Profile- Provides your basic information. Name, photo, most recent location+comment. It also tallies your friends/followers and gives you a chance to change your settings.
Tutorial: So how do I do stuff?
1. I want to share my shopping finds.
Click the INSPIRE button. You’ll see a comment section, an icon to take/attach a photo, and a button on top to tap and add your location (to tell everyone where you’re at). Snap a pic of that cute dress you see, type your comment, and tap the compass to add name of the store you’re at. Press SEND to send this post (AKA Check In…it has a location attached) to your wall.
2. I want to find a deal and redeem it.
Click the OFFERS button. Find one you like and click to read the details. Notice the redemption code—you’ll need it…
When you’re ready to checkout, press the CHECK IN button, select your location, and enter the redemption code for that deal/merchant (example: #redeem1) in the comment field. Don’t forget to snap/attach a photo of your newfound love (your loot), and press SEND to post it.
Show your Check In detail screen (showing redemption code in your comment section) at the register to receive your discount. You can find your Check In using the SHOUTS, WALL, or PROFILE buttons.
3. I want to add/find friends:
Invite your friends—and recruit Bandwagon shopping buddies! You can search for new people to follow by checking the Public (Everyone) side of the Wall. Click on a user’s comment, and then their photo to access their profile screen, and you’ll see a “Follow” button. Follow people you find interesting. Your “Friends” side of the Wall shows activity from those you follow. You can even see a map of where your friends have been lately (their last Check In location).
4. I want to know where the best stuff is!
While you and your Bandwagon friends will surely share your fave finds with each other, the WINDOW SHOP button displays a gallery view of the hottest, new, and trending items available in stores near you. Check it out often!
5. What about other Social Networks?
Bandwagon has Facebook and Twitter connections so you can post things from the Bandwagon world to Facebook/Twitter.
